SEATTLE — The Chiefs enter at 5-0 as the AFC’s only unbeaten team, while the defending champion Seahawks are 3-3 after consecutive losses to San Francisco and Denver. Kansas City is coming off a 22-6 victory over the Chargers, while Seattle has had extra preparation time after its overtime loss in Denver.
Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 1,309 yards with nine touchdowns and three interceptions, but Kenneth Walker III has been the biggest addition to Kansas City’s offense. Walker leads the NFL with 665 rushing yards and is averaging 6.3 yards per carry, setting up his first game in Seattle since leaving the Seahawks.
Seattle’s offense is led by Sam Darnold, who has thrown for 1,469 yards with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been his biggest weapon with 717 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, but turnovers have become an issue for Darnold during Seattle’s two-game losing streak.

Seattle has gone 35 consecutive games without allowing a 100-yard rusher, while Walker has topped 100 yards in four of his first five games with Kansas City. The Chiefs won the most recent meeting 24-10 in 2022, but Seattle won the last matchup between the teams at Lumen Field, 38-31 in 2018.
