MINNEAPOLIS — The Vikings enter at 5-0 and remain one of the NFL’s last unbeaten teams, while the Colts are 2-4 after consecutive losses to Pittsburgh and Tennessee. Minnesota is coming out of its bye after a 23-13 win over New Orleans, while Indianapolis is trying to stop a two-game slide.
Minnesota’s defense has been the foundation of its unbeaten start. The Vikings have held four consecutive opponents to 16 points or fewer and are allowing just 12.8 points per game. That creates a difficult matchup for a Colts offense that has become increasingly turnover-prone.
Indianapolis will again lean heavily on Jonathan Taylor. He has 398 rushing yards and six touchdowns, while Daniel Jones has thrown for 1,021 yards with three touchdowns and four interceptions. Jones threw two interceptions in the loss to Tennessee, making ball security especially important against Minnesota.
The Vikings have Kyler Murray back at quarterback after Carson Wentz filled in earlier in the season. Murray has been sharp in his last two appearances, including completing 24 of 30 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown against New Orleans.
