Heisman winner Caleb Williams and the USC Trojans are set to take on the AAC Champions, Tulane in the Cotton Bowl. This game will be a high scoring affair between two team that each secured 11 wins this season behind some of the nation’s most high-powered offenses. They have turned them into one of the most fun teams to watch in the country. However, they do enter this game with two of their starting offensive linemen due to injury, which gives a weakness for the Tulane defense to attack. On the other side of the ball, the Tulane offense scored over 35 points per game this year, and now plays a USC defense that has struggled to bring down ball carriers and missed 24 tackles their last game alone.
Tulane is not a big-name program like USC. They are in a smaller conference and their program has not had anywhere near the same amount of success. What they do have, is a great team that would love to cap off the great season they’ve had with a bowl victory. USC is the favorite in this game, but they have been flawed this season and Tulane is equipped to attack these flaws. USC has the best player in the country, but their team is beatable, and Tulane is suited to do it this Monday.
