Game Analysis:
This is a great time to be a Commanders fan. You’ve just won 5/6 games while beating the Eagles, the only undefeated team left, on the road when nobody gave you a chance. Taylor Heinicke has been the X factor for the Commanders, and frankly is just fun to watch. Some plays he looks like an elite QB and others times he looks like he shouldn’t even be on an NFL roster. In his defense their is way more good than bad, and the fact that he was drinking Bush Lites out of a trash can on the plane ride back from Philly makes him even more likeable. The Commanders are in a good spot and their is a clear path for them to make the playoffs. They have proven they are a good football team, and the fact that Chase Young will most likely be back Sunday just makes them even more dangerous.
The Falcons on the other hand are in no shape to be a good football team, but they have had a solid season from my perspective. I say this because after Matt Ryan left they were suppose to be one of the worst teams in the NFL and they have really held their own. They still technically have a chance to still win the division at 5-6 due to the NFC South being trash. Although they did get some bad news this week in that Kyle Pitts is now out for the year. (Not the Mariota ever threw to him anyways)
Moving onto the game, I like the Commanders to win and cover the spread of -4.5. The Falcons are 1-4 on the road this year and have lost those 4 game by an average of almost 10 points. The Commanders are rolling right now and their defense is going to give the Falcons some major problems.
