Alright, let’s be real, as much as we all love watching the Utah Jazz play basketball they have always been an overperforming team. Even now with all of the losses they’ve had. Him making the All-Star game this year was not on my NBA bingo card I won’t lie. But he has turned up the heat this season, and I love it. He’s been averaging about 25 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game. It’s great not just having the same All-Stars every single year, he brings this league some much-needed parody.
But that’s about all that Lauri and the Jazz bring to the NBA. This Celtics team is on a whole different level than the Jazz. They have a very real chance of winning the championship this year, which is a statement that no one in Utah will be able to say for a while. Also unlike the Utah Jazz the Celtics have someone who has a real chance of winning an MVP this decade in Jayson Tatum. Just in case you need to be reminded of this man’s brilliance he is averaging 30.1 points per game and 9.0 rebounds. He is an absolute force when he’s on and by golly is he usually on. It also doesn’t hurt that helping him is an All-Star, a Defensive Player of the Year, a member of the 50/40/90 club, and one of the best defensive centers in the league right now. There may be a team that can stop the Celtics but that team is definitely not the Jazz.
The Celtics are better than the Jazz. Point-blank, period. This game will be over in the first half. Bet on the Celtics.
