The Ravens may have lost the AFC North, but they have a chance to get the last laugh against the division champion Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the playoffs. These teams have taken entirely different paths to this point in the season. They come into this game on an eight-game win streak, and are led by Joe Burrow who appears to be picking up where he left off last season. The Ravens have had much quieter success this year. After Lamar Jackson was sidelined for several games, they became the red headed step child of the AFC playoff teams and were all but entirely forgotten. Despite this, their defense stepped up in the absence of their best player, and they proved that they were a well-rounded team.
This game is deceiving because the Bengals have proven themselves to be a legitimate title contender this year, but the Ravens will be a wildcard coming into this matchup. The high-powered Bengals offense will be a lot for the Ravens to deal with, but if Lamar Jackson back in this game it will quickly become a shootout. The Bengals are a better team than the Ravens, but in the NFL playoffs anything can happen, especially in a game between well coached teams filled with star power on both sides of the ball. This is a game the Bengals should win, but if Lamar Jackson ends up playing, Cincinnati fans should be nervous.
