The Mid-American Conference is gearing up for an exciting clash as the Ohio Bobcats prepare to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas. Both teams have shown their mettle in previous games and are ready to bring their A-game to the field.
The Bobcats, coming off a win over the Buffalo Bulls by the score of 20-10, have demonstrated their prowess on both ends of the field. Their offense, led by quarterback Kurtis Rourke, recorded 121 yards on 14-of-21 passing (66.7%) with no touchdowns and no interceptions. Sieh Bangura carried the ball 17 times for 78 yards (4.6 yards per carry) with two touchdowns on the ground. He added one reception for four yards. Ty Walton had six receptions for 62 yards (10.3 per catch) against the Bulls.
On the other side, the Chippewas, led by coach Jim McElwain, are coming off of a 38-28 loss to the Western Michigan Broncos. In that matchup, Jase Bauer threw for 205 yards, going 14-for-27 (51.9%) with three touchdowns and one interception. He added 10 carries for 40 yards. Marion Lukes carried the ball 21 times for 147 yards and one touchdown. He caught one pass for 11 yards. Tyson Davis collected two catches for 77 yards (on three targets), with one touchdown.
