The MAC is set to witness a thrilling encounter as the Western Michigan Broncos prepare to face off against the Northern Illinois Huskies in a showdown this week. Both teams are packed with talent and have a history of intense competition.
The Broncos, coming off a win over the Central Michigan Chippewas by the score of 38-28, have shown their strength on both ends of the ball. Their offense, led by quarterback Hayden Wolff, recorded 333 passing yards while going 25-for-36 with three touchdowns and one interception. He was well-supported by Jalen Buckley who carried the ball 23 times for 117 yards and two touchdowns. In that matchup, Kenneth Womack had 12 receptions for 135 yards.
On the other hand, the Huskies, led by coach Thomas Hammock, are coming off of a loss to the Ball State Cardinals.
