OXFORD — No. 7 LSU travels to face No. 7 Ole Miss in one of the biggest SEC games of Week 3. LSU enters the matchup 2-0 after wins over Clemson and Louisiana Tech, while Ole Miss is also 2-0 following victories over Louisville and Charlotte. The game marks Lane Kiffin’s return to Oxford after leaving Ole Miss to become LSU’s head coach.
LSU’s first season under Kiffin has brought plenty of attention, particularly with the former Ole Miss coach immediately facing his old program. The Tigers opened the season with a 17-10 win over Clemson and followed that with a 49-3 victory over Louisiana Tech. LSU has also retained several important defensive pieces while reshaping the offense under Kiffin.
