Game Analysis:
SEATTLE — The Bears enter at 5-2 and have won two straight, while the Seahawks are 4-3 after an impressive 20-3 victory over previously unbeaten Kansas City. Chicago beat New England 30-24 last Thursday, giving the Bears extra preparation time before the Monday night matchup at Lumen Field.
Caleb Williams is coming off one of his best performances of the season, throwing for 308 yards and two touchdowns without an interception against New England. D’Andre Swift leads Chicago with 476 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, while rookie Luther Burden III has emerged as the Bears’ leading receiver with 491 yards.
Seattle’s offense continues to revolve around Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Darnold has thrown for 1,290 yards and eight touchdowns, although he also has eight interceptions. Smith-Njigba has been outstanding with 867 receiving yards and eight touchdowns through seven games.
The biggest challenge for Chicago is Seattle’s defense. The Seahawks are allowing only 17.9 points and 247.4 yards per game, including just 158 passing yards per game.
