Game Analysis:
BALTIMORE — The Ravens enter at 4-2, while the Bengals are 3-2 coming out of their bye week. Baltimore is trying to rebound from a 13-10 loss to Cleveland, while Cincinnati’s last game was a 31-24 road victory over Miami. The AFC North is extremely tight, making this one of the more important divisional games of the week.
Cincinnati has gotten another strong start from Joe Burrow. He has thrown for 1,361 yards with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 71.4 percent of his passes. Tee Higgins leads the Bengals with 423 receiving yards, while Ja’Marr Chase has four touchdown catches.
The biggest question for Baltimore is Lamar Jackson. He has missed the past two games with an ankle injury and remains day-to-day heading into the matchup. Jackson has thrown for 967 yards with six touchdowns and one interception when healthy. Tyler Huntley would make another start if Jackson cannot return.
Baltimore’s offense has still been productive overall, averaging 26 points and 367.7 yards per game. Derrick Henry and the running game present a particularly important challenge for a Cincinnati defense allowing 123 rushing yards per game.
The central matchup is Cincinnati’s passing attack against Baltimore’s secondary. Burrow has been extremely efficient, and the Bengals will look to create opportunities for Higgins and Chase against a Ravens defense that shut Cincinnati out 24-0 in their most recent meeting last season. Jackson’s availability could ultimately be the biggest factor in determining how this matchup plays out.
